I was on the phone with my brother today talking about what may come. He mentioned something that stuck with me. What would we do if Chad lost his job because of economic downfall? What would we do if the grocery stores had such a high demand for some things, the essentials, that we weren't able to get it? So i pose these questions to you. Something is coming. We have been warned time and time again. It is on our door steps. Are we prepared as families? It is such a scary thing to think about. I really have no idea what we would do if Chad lost his job and or even the ability to put in overtime. What will I do for food for my children when we run out and can't afford to go to the store? Are we prepared, I don't feel comfortable saying yes. So please share with me some ways you have prepared you and yours for the hard times to come. I am looking for ideas and suggestions.

I have started shopping sales and using mass coupons. In 1 1/2 months I have been able to get 3 months of food storage and have cut our food budget in half. We have decied to put our Christmas money we would normally spend on each other (Wayne and I) and are going to use it towards finishing our cold storage.
Times are a bit scary and I am soo thankful that Wayne has a job and that we have been able to have that little bit of extra income to help build up our food storage.
Temporally we just don't spend extra money at all and we've cut back A LOT on other things. Dinners might be pretty plain and simple but at least we have that little extra money to work with. More importantly though, I've been trying to make sure we focus on family and spiritual things. I want us to be strong and united as a family and close to the spirit. I think if we can do that our needs will be met in one way or another no matter what comes.
Fortunatly for you I am starting a food storage company and you will get wholesale. Oh ya baby.
My best advice I could give is to be a positive thinker, the dominating thoughts of our mind control our life. Dont live in poverty live in abundance, Its not how much money we have, its how we live and view our life. You will be fine...
