Baby Changes

Well being at 22 weeks isn't that far along. Technically we are 23 weeks but I don't know how to change the widget on the blog. Anyway last night was the start of certain pains and discomforts. The little stinker was sitting on a nerve in my back for most of the day. It makes it hard to want to do anything at all. It wasn't that intense but just enough to hinder my daily activities. I went to bed later than I should have and tossed and turned. Trying to help by placing several small pillows between my legs and under my tummy didn't do much. I even prodded her a few times pretty good to get her to resituate herself but man either she is stubborn or that is the most comfy place in my tummy for her.

I went to the grocery store last night and the teller asked me if I needed help out to the car. I declined and he said in response, "Are you sure you really look tired!" When people say that it makes me feel so frumpy. Yes I was, am tired but I didn't and don't want to look it. It was nice of him to offer though. I did let him carry my groceries out after that begrudgingly.

It is all worth it though. If she is anything like our little man Tennis I would go through much MUCH worse.

Pick A Name Any Name

So Chad and I are having a hard time finding names for a little girl. So I decided today that I would list some that I like on a poll and see people think. Some of the names we haven't even decided if we like yet. If you have any suggestions please feel free to add a comment with the name(s). We are trying for something feminine and original, definitely not trendy.

Thanks for participating. I'll be putting new names on the poll every week.

Oh and by the way for those of you that know Chad's older brother Seth or his wife Amanda they are expecting their 2ND child also. They are due around the 20Th of August. Fun times.

President Hinckley

When I heard the news last night that President Hinckley has passed away I had mixed emotions. I am going to miss him so much, he is the only prophet that I can remember and his guidance has effected my life immensely. He is with his beloved wife now though. Gordon B. Hinckley achieved SO much in his life, especially after the age of 80. How many people can say that the most important years of their life's work happened after they hit 80? Pretty much none except for him. He was so loving, and he led us with a firm but yet gently word. He always seemed to be so light hearted even though there was so much that was corrupt and wrong in the world. He opened the door for missionary work in so many countries and territories. There were more temples built under his guidance than any other. It makes me sad and almost scared to think of a world without him. In my mind I knew he wouldn't be the President of the church until I died but honestly I hoped he would. Foolish me. I haven't written anything inspirational I'm sure but I just felt that he deserves some recognition as I'm sure everyone is feeling right now.

There Is No Place Like Home

Well we got into a new place and out of our old one. We love our new place. It is such a different lay out than our old place. There are two smaller family rooms instead of one huge one. The kitchen is great and I actually have a pantry. Plus we have a jetted tub in our master bathroom which Tennis and Chad LOVE! So do I but I am small enough to enjoy a normal sized tub as opposed to Chad. We even have a deck and garage. Granted it is more per month I think that we are going to really love this place.

Tennis has really come to life since we left that last place which makes me think that the mold was effecting him more than we knew. He sleeps through the night, 10 hours straight. He talks so much and all of a sudden he is ticklish. It seems like his personality is really showing through now because he isn't constantly fighting off some bug because of the mold's hold on his body.

Our new address is 1152 South Slate Canyon Drive, Provo. Our phone number is the same as it was before which is great.

Anyway I just thought I would inform everyone that we are back in a place of our own now. A special thanks to both of our parents. We spent several nights at Chad's parents house then hopped over to my parent's place until we got into this one. Our families have been so helpful and supportive. We wouldn't have been able to do this without them.

By the way for those that didn't know we were moving don't feel like you were left in the dark. It all happened so fast. The move was a tedious process and we didn't want to expose anyone to the mold so we didn't want anyone to feel obligated to help. But now you can all help us in braking in our new place and swing in for a visit.

Boy Vs Girl

Well we went in for our appointment today to find out the sex of the baby. But unfortunately the ultrasound tech had tried to move our appointment without getting ahold of us and wasn't there for the original appointment. We did reschedule for Tuesday at 3:30pm. So we'll know then. :)

Happy weekend everyone!!

Apartment Update.

For those of you that have heard about our mold issue in our apartment I thought I would update you.

For starters it definitely is throughout the apartment upstairs and down. The mold inspectors told us it isn't safe to be there for several reasons. So we currently are crashing at Chad's parent's house. Thank heavens for close family. We most likely will be jumping over to my parent's house in the next one or two days.

We did find a new place but until we get something back from Harman Apartments, whether it is a deposit or January's rent that we did pay even though we aren't living there, we can't move into the new place. Our new landlord is being kind enough to hold off a few days for us before he puts it back on the market.

Our personal possessions can't be moved out of the home until they are decontaminated. Which is hard enough as it is. I don't even want to think about washing and drying all our clothes, linens, blankets, etc....

But we do have enough evidence, hopefully, to prove that the place isn't safe to live in and that Harman Apartments broke their lease agreement with us. We just hope we don't have to fight them to much to get our January rent back from them and our deposit among other possible things that might need replacing.

Thank heavens Uncle Kevin is helping us through the process. He is a great man.

So for now we are in limbo. Which isn't terrible as long as there is an end in sight. :)

Boy vs Girl

So I have added a poll on the right of our blog. Please read the question and answer according to what you think we are going to have. We find out next Friday the 11th. We will be posting what we are having shortly after we find out.

I thought that this would be fun so please participate.

Wake Up Calls

This morning at about 9:15am I was laying in bed not wanting to get up yet. Tennis was still sleeping and so I thought I would take advantage of it. Then I heard something that sounded like a really large furnace kicking on. I didn't know what it was. Then all of a sudden all the smoke alarms went off and of course it woke Tennis up and frightened him. So as I was trying to calm Tennis down and figure out why they were going off water started pouring out of one of the smoke alarms in the hallway and soon to follow out of the swamp cooler and any hole or crevice in our walls. Luckily it was isolated to just our hallway, bedroom and bathroom.

After calling maintenance and our neighbors below us to warn them of the flash flood coming their way I emptied a total of 11 large mixing bowls of water from under one smoke alarm and 15 pots of water from under our swamp cooler.

Luckily the maintenance man showed up shortly after the call and shut the water off. Come to find out there was a pipe that connected to our swamp cooler that had frozen and the water hadn't been shut off too. So once it thawed it burst. Our poor neighbors though. Gravity took hold and water was coming out of everywhere on the east side of the house for them. Atleast they don't have carpet in most of the area that it had flooded into.

Anyway the problem has been resolved now. Thank heaven for our handy man, as limited as his knowledge is, he fixed it for now. Old house are fun but man do they come with their surprises.

New Years Resolutions

Well Happy New Year to all!!!! We hope that this new year has found everyone happy and healthy. We are doing well. The baby's movements are being felt a little bit now. We find out the sex on the 11th. We are getting excited. Chad believes it is a girl and I think the opposite. We'll see.

We have set several resolutions. But I think that one of Chad's is worth mentioning. Chad has set a resolution to run 1,000 miles this year. That includes a marathon. He set up a blog site to track his progress. The link is on our site under "Chad's Running Blog". So check it out.
