Tennis's Late Night Adventure

Well on Saturday we headed into Labor and Delivery for a little preterm labor visit. I had tried to stop the contractions at home with the usual remedies and a prescription I had been given with Tennis's pregnancy but it didn't help. So at 10pm we headed in. We had to get Tennis out of bed to go and he was a little groggy at first. He just sat in the recliner/rocker that they have in the room with his blankie and bottle but after about 15 minutes he was wide awake. He was so funny he just walked around the hospital room happy and gabby as usual. They brought him some juice and crackers, which he loved. Then when he started to get a little irritable we broke down and gave him the plastic lid off of my styrofoam cup. That was the biggest hit ever. He wandered around the room talking to himself bending and crinkling the lid. He thought it was the most fun thing since he discovered how to push a car. We were there until 1:30am Sunday morning and totally wasted at that point but Tennis was still all grins and jibber jabber. We got home and put him straight to bed, where he almost immediately fell asleep. I honestly can't be more grateful for him at this point. He is such a great little man. Chad and I are seriously SO lucky.

Surprise Baby Shower

Last night my little sister surprised me with a baby shower for our little girl. It was a lot of fun. I had several cousins, aunts, sister in laws and both my mom and my mother in law come. We played two games, had some yummy taco salad and did gifts. It was nice to just see everyone. Among several adorably frilly little pieces of clothing I recieved a bouncee and a bassinet. For anyone that is in the market for a bassinet my mom got it off KSL for only 30 dollars and wow is it cute. If youre in the market check out KSL. Thank you so much to all of you that came. I was incredibly surprised and am so very grateful. I didn't need much for the baby but what I did need it seems that I recieved them last night. So thank you for coming, showing your support and love and for the beautiful gifts.

Chad had told me that he was going to take me out to dinner and when he got home and we got into the car we drove to Amari's place. I was very much confused. But Chad covered his but by saying he had to drop off a list of stuff Amari was having him research on the computer. But he didn't have a piece of paper with him. hmmmm. Sneaky! I do have to admit it though, I was pretty excited at the thought of going out to eat with my husband and Tennis. You know sitting down somewhere instead of just getting a sandwich to go. But I enjoyed my night and the food. Thanks again!!!!

What our baby is like at 28 weeks (now).

How your baby's growing:Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

She is up and down now. I can feel her little hands and head when she turns from one side to the other at the bottom of my tummy. She also will kick hard enough now that you can see my whole stomach roll around and bounce from her kicks and movements. She just like Tennis did doesn't like contractions. Whenever I have them she really pushs against me. She doesn't like to be squeezed much.

Our busy day

Yesterday was such a busy day for us. I haven't had such a busy errand day in a long time. First we went to the hospital to get lab work done. Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal but I had to have a glucose test done which required me to drink a orange drink and wait one hour until they could draw my blood. After everything was said and done Tennis and I were at the hospital for about an hour and a half. Tennis was great until about the last 15 minutes. Then he wanted to follow every single person that walked by us.

After that we went to get the oil changed and get safety and emissions done on the dodge. We were there for about a half an hour. Tennis loved this though because the waiting room is small so I just let him drive his little truck all over the whole place.

Then we went and sat at the DMV for 1 1/2 hour. Tennis was so tired at this point and all the little latino kids that were there were running around so he wanted to too. I wouldn't let him though, to many germs. After I waited that long and there was still about a 30 minute wait I just decided I would come back at another time and let Tennis get home to sleep.

We came home and Tennis slept and I cleaned and prepped for dinner. Then after he woke up and had lunch we went back to wait at the dmv and the wait was still over an hour so we didn't stay. Which was fine because it was time to pick up daddy. He was so happy. Man I am happy that I don't have much to do today.

We love church!!!

Tennis sometimes has a hard time sitting still through all three meetings of church. Well he has a hard time all the time sitting through one hole meeting. He does love it though. During Sunday school this last week I was trying to get him to fall asleep, wishful thinking, when the relief society president walked by. She is a super lively and warm person to be around. Tennis just loves her. She had her camera with her and all she had to do was say "Hi Tennis C" and he would crack up. I know that he was totally past the point of tired and verging on giddy and that is why he responded the way he did. It was so funny. People would be walking by when she would do that or while he was recovering from laughing and of course they all start laughing. So I'm afraid we are a bit of a disruptive influence in church at the moment.

I've Been Tagged

10 years ago I was in 9th grade. I played in the school orchestra, I was in the school play of the year, My Fair Lady. I got my first boyfriend and broke up with him through a note. lol. I was a cheerleader, swam on a swimming team, played softball and played the paino. My whole life revolved around friends.

Five things I did today.... Fed Tennis French Toast, watched the cows and horses behind our house with Tennis, started laundry, cleaned the house and cleaned up dishes from the weekend.

What would I do with a million dollars? Pay off our family car, get Chad a truck, get into a place of our own with a good yard, get Tennis a puppy, set aside a large amount for Tennis and our little girl, Take Chad to Alaska on a fishing trip, buy a piano, pay Chad's tuition and save the rest. It is hard to think of anything else that is really important. I ultimately would say save most of it at this point in life so that we would have some for later in life.

Five jobs I've had .... Trade Director, Baker, Cake Decorator, Nanny, Mommy (of course my favorite).

Five snacks I love .... Caramel, Cinamon bears, potatoe chips, pixy stix and fresh canteloupe

Five places I've lived .... Springville, Mapleton, Provo, Logan, New York.

I'm going to tag Jenna.
